    Slides down like soda silk…

The best soda water I have ever had. So good that drinking it on its own or in a spritzer is equally as good.

    Fresh and clean

Loving this soda water. Perfect for the cocktails and spritz’s a make at home and one bottle is usually the perfect quantity as a mixer for two drinks.

What Is Soda Water (And Why Bartenders Use It)

Soda water is water that’s been carbonated and lightly mineralised. In this case with sodium bicarbonate, which sharpens the bubbles and gives drinks a cleaner finish.

Bartenders use soda water because it adds lift and length without adding sweetness. It brightens spirits, stretches cocktails and keeps drinks carbonated, without overpowering

Soda Water vs Sparkling Water – What’s the Difference?

Sparkling water is simply carbonated water.

Soda water usually contains added mineral salts such as sodium bicarbonate, which subtly changes the structure of the bubbles and makes it better suited for cocktails.

Sparkling water is great for drinking on its own.

Soda water is built for gin sodas, vodka sodas, whisky highballs and other spirit-forward drinks that benefit from crisp carbonation without added sweetness.

Why 180ml Bottles Work Better for Mixing

The 180ml bottles are ideal for one serve pours.

Fresh carbonation every time you open one. No sad half-flat mixer lingering in the fridge.

Many customers also find one bottle works perfectly for 1-2 drinks, depending on ice and pour size.

Where It’s Made (And What’s In It)

StrangeLove Soda Water is made in Victoria, AUS, using natural spring water sourced from the Macedon Ranges.

The formulation is deliberately simple:

• Carbonated water
• Sodium bicarbonate

No sugar. No sweeteners. No flavouring.

Just highly carbonated soda water built for mixing with premium spirits.

Sometimes the best ingredients list is the shortest one.

If you’ve made it this far down a soda water page, you’re either very thirsty or very committed to research.

Either way, we can help.

Browse the [Premium Mixers Collection], explore [Mixed Packs], or find cocktail inspiration in our [Recipes Hub].

Because sometimes the best mixer is the one that quietly does its job while the spirit takes the credit.

We’re fine with that.

Where are your products made?

Our products are made in Preston, Victoria. We picked that spot because the upturned shopping carts, youth knife crime, and balding hipsters are fun to look at while taste tasting our drinks.

How many drinks does one 180ml bottle make?

Most people find one bottle works nicely for 1-2 drinks.

Where is StrangeLove Soda Water made?

In Victoria, using high quality spring water.

This water's intended destiny is to end up as a StrangeLove beverage., It arrives at our facility, where it is then aggressively carbonated and introduced to gin. All StrangeLove water consents to this treatment and is an active participant in all Soda Water productions.

What are the ingredients?

Carbonated water and sodium bicarbonate.

Two ingredients.

Which feels suspiciously responsible considering how enthusiastic the bubbles are.

What spirits pair best with soda water?

Anything that benefits from crisp bubbles and a little breathing room.

Particularly:

• Gin
 • Vodka
 • Whisky
 • Tequila
 • Spritz-style cocktails

Soda water lifts the drink without hijacking it like an unemployed guy at a dinner party explaining NFTs.

Is this soda water the same as club soda?

Essentially yes.

“Club soda” is just soda water that’s been lightly mineralised, usually with sodium bicarbonate, which is exactly what’s happening here.

The minerals sharpen the bubbles and give cocktails a cleaner finish, which is why bartenders reach for soda water instead of whatever sad flat bottle has been living in the back of your fridge since 2017.

Does this soda water contain sugar?

No.

It contains 0.0g sugar per 100ml, which is impressive considering modern beverages have somehow managed to turn water into something with the sugar content of a birthday cake.

This is just water. With bubbles. Calm down.

Are your ingredients locally sourced?

Approximately 97% of our ingredients are grown, made or produced in Australia. The obvious exceptions being certain extracts or specialty ingredients like Yuzu juice. But we have a friend of a friend who just put in (two!) Yuzu trees so we should be sorted for a few Yuzus by the year 2035.

Were any bubbles harmed in the making of this pristine Soda Water?

Yes, many bubbles were harmed during the making of this soda. They were however willing participants of this experiment and signed a legally binding waiver prior to engaging with StrangeLove beverage co.

Is this soda water lactose free?

Its just water and bubbles. No cheese.

Why do people clap when planes land?

Because when some babies are born, they make it their life's-work to be the most annoying person in any room. Be that a plane, train or automobile.

Why am I wasting my life reading FAQ’s on a dumb drink website?

We really don’t know. We never expected anyone to actually read these.

Why do people walk into a room and forget why?

The  brain occasionally performs a full system reboot while you’re standing in the kitchen.

Take a moment. Open the fridge. Grab a drink. Repeat.

How many bubbles are in each 180ml Soda Water bottle?

Eleventy million billion (give or take).
